Dave - English ideas man and entrepreneur who loves the sea, walking in the country side, his beloved dog Ledley, travelling to find inspiration for the kitchen, eating good food, drinking good wine and pretty much anything else that you throw at him!

Kate - Canadian chick who loves to ski and hike the mountains, her freedom-filled job, learning about and exploring around the world and enjoying Dave's cooking over a glass of bubbly.

A match made in heaven!

A year and a half after meeting, Dave and Kate were at the Opera festival in Verona, Italy, when Dave shocked local shopkeepers by flouting Italian rules and ran into the

**CLOSED FOR THE NIGHT**

courtyard housing Juliet's balcony (yes... of Romeo & Juliet fame), to get down on one knee to ask Kate to be his wife.

Through the incessant shouting of the Italian shop keeper, whose back-door Dave had snuck through to do this, Kate said yes (of course) and laughing all the way, they celebrated the romantic and funny (Dave in a nutshell) proposal with a toast of Proseco and a night at the Opera.

Its been a fantastic time getting excited to celebrate all of this together with everyone we love at a truly spectacular place in the world.
